Yes sure! Drinking water has amazing benefits, but did you know that there is a difference when drinking water sitting vs standing. Here are some interesting facts.:
Water is essential for healthy living, if you havent already jumped onto the band wagon of drinking atleast 4 glasses of water a day, we highly suggest you go pour yourself a glass of water before reading this.
YOU SHOULD TRY TO AVOID DRINKING WATER STANDING! As shocking as it might sound the quality of water and the way you drink water affects how your body absorbs the nutrients. Standing up and drinking water makes the body out of sync with its natural way of doing things and triggers the nervous system, thus making it feel it is facing danger. Your body is bound to face stress or any tension resulting in your body not taking in nutrients correctly.
While standing upright when drinking water gushes the water to your stomach, sitting allows for ease for your bodies water intake. Sitting while drinking water has other benefits:
-reducing ulcers
-less bloating
-better digestion
-Toxins go away, impurities are flushed out and your health improves overall!
Bare in mind that you should never gulp water but rather pace the way you drink water and try to finish a glass of water in 3 sips.
Now here is the funny part… as much as science has brought upon this research, 1000 of years ago messengers of God have already tried to teach this to society.
According to a Hadith
Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Do not drink water only in one breath, but drink it in two or three breaths.”
Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Sit down and drink.” (Hadith Muslim) and also said: “None of you should drink while standing; and if anyone forgets, he must vomit.”
